Keith Tyler Snot metal -- This is what music should sound like in 2023. As it happens, this track is actually from 1996. Where, oh where, did music go so wrong to stray from this, its destiny? Favorite track: Flinka Flanka.

about

From their original, "You'll Need Different Ears" album (written 1993 / 1994, recorded 1994 / 1995 and released in 1995, this self titled 7" celebrates the music of Contagious Drip. Re-releasing two of their many great tracks (Flinka Flanka and Cherry Picker), this trio lives on, shouting out to all misfit truth seekers.

From Eastern Long Island, NY - Craig, Jay and Tom regularly performed at The Galaxy in Westhampton Beach between 1993 and 1996. Because alcohol was served, the imposed age restriction led to kids gathering outside to watch shows, peaking through narrow windows, trying to get a glimpse. The heightened enthusiasm led to the eventual lifting of the age restriction, allowing those without an I.D. to enter and watch from behind a velvet roped barrier. Energy of the bar crowd equally thrived throughout the rest of the house as gritty, sweaty moments of a lifetime were to be had. Eventually, The Galaxy closed its doors in 2001, but the group held throughout the years and continues to hold today, a tight musical bond with potential performances always on the ready. Two of those kids that once peered through the windows (Brendon Henry and Seth Farrell), along with Paul Fallo, went on to create the very popular Cabin Fever Music Festival (a festival occurring every winter throughout the month of February, spotlighting East End Long Island musicians).

Simply, Contagious Drip is three of the nicest, coolest guys you might ever know that make killer Garage / Punk / Noise Rock for Different Ears.
